well kids, being that i now live in the big city of lex vegas and that i was bored at midnight tonight i drove myself over to the COMP USSR and purchased a copy of vista ultimate upgrade, and i must say they spent all their time designing the packaging, if it works anything like the packaging it should be hard as hell to get into but nifty once you get the damn thing open... pics to follow in the morn, as for now, sleep!

oh thats awesome! how much was the retail? i think im gonna wait to get it for a while. yea im just gonna rock XP out with my shampoo out for a little longer.

it was $275 or something with taxes... not bad, but i bought ultimate so it was more than all the rest of the versions...

yea i know. how much did you pay for ultimate? on newegg the OEM is $200 for ultimate. but you cant find the retail.

COOL!! I cant wait to get my own copy!!! Even though U have to have an instasll of XP already id reather pay less money!!! I cant wait to use VISTA!!

so your just gonna by the upgrade? you should just buy the full copy instead of buying XP and Vista upgrade.

I already have a good copy of XP Pro so yeah no reason in spending $200 more!! If you want to format your drive just install a fresh version of XP Pro and then install the upgrade!!!! Takes a little more time but saves alot of money

well you can do the clean install as long as you have a valid product key and cd... im going to be doing a fresh install on my desktop for the first thing, before i put it on the laptop, so i will let everyone know how that goes!

dude i dont think your desktop will run it! you only have 512mb of ram corrrect? isnt it required to have 1gb?
